common issues:

upgrading and moving to a new server at the same time

networking:
not understanding program files are just program - that database is where all data is
not understanding that config.txt dictates which database to connect to
not following the steps, in order, or skipping steps resulting in errors

networking: db username and pw is open for all to see (pointed them towards the integrated security setting 

upgrading - run the setup file and it shows stand alone default instead of network, so user gets confused.


installation: two choices does not cover what actual choices there are and users NEVER read the instructions - i.e. should be choice for standlalone, choice for "server", choice for networked computer (server already set up).

MBI does not provide access to enough information - either for the user to read, or for the user to enter (units, parts, 



accounting interfaces not available:

request is to have AyaNova to track basics of payment - how much owed, how much paid (no I don't agree with this - would end up not providing enough, so users would just keep asking for more)


common  - "where do I create a new client, a new service workorder, etc" - possibly should have a "quick" links for these always at the top

common: "too much to learn" "too busy"

"the program has ended a couple times with an error window that was too quick to read while I am trying to do different things" - and I don't get told what the error message was, nor what they were doing.

need offline ability for multiple techs (at sites where no internet access and do not want paper)


I think it will be too difficult. 
I don't mean this in a bad way but the boss man likes simple and the program is quite busy. 
He's old school and I really think he will not be interested at this time. 

"customizing a report is too hard, can't figure it out" - I know I know, I am supposed to be coming up with ideas here, but ANY software with reports that gives ANY ability to customize more than the basics is going to involve some steps - and this dick was being a dick. Instead of telling me "what" was too hard and what he had done, he sent four different emails saying coulddn't figure it out and didn't EVER answer one question let alone when I offered to get him going but needed to know exactly what he was trying to do.

how come there isn't a backup option inside of AyaNova?

Unfortunately I can't get my activation key to work. After hours and hours of installing, configuring and uninstalling, we must move on to a different service management product. Too much hassle for an upgrade.
